I've Returned from the Woods of Life!!!

Hello everyone. I'm Chris and let me tell you what I have to say.  I would like to welcome everyone back to the blog, whether you're an old reader or brand new to the blog.  You're probably wondering what has happened to me during this year long hiatus.  Well...

1. Practicum
2. School
3. Work
4. More school
5. Sleep
6. DirectGamers

As you can probably tell, I've been relatively busy throughout this year, and I know I have neglected this blog for a very long amount of time.  I will make sure to post more often, but I will not have a schedule for when I post.  As for the time being, please bear with me and my insanity as I have work/school and other matters to attend to.  I truly appreciate that you guys have put up with me and the super hiatus.  With that said, I'm Chris and that is what I have to say.  See you around!!!

Oh yeah.  I sucked it up and finally got an Instagram.  So follow me on Twitter and Instagram @Chris_sez.  Now I'm done.

Who Just Made the iPhone Useless? This Guy!

Hey everyone, this is Chris_sez with a little post about something amazing I did with my iPod Touch 4th generation.  If you previously read my article "The Apple Product Triplets," you will more likely know that I have some issues with the iPhone and how, in my point of view, is like an iPod Touch 4th generation, but with a bill attached with it.  Remember that this is my opinion; you do not have to agree with it if you do not want to.  I recently found an app in the App Store called Talkatone, which you can call people for free.  I have both a Google Voice account and the app that corresponds with it, but I could only text with the Google Voice app.  In order for me to make calls on my iPod, I had to download the Talkatone app.

Is the app useful?  Does it work?  Do I like it?  To answer all three of these questions, I would say yes!  This app works well in WiFi and 3G areas (only used WiFi so far), the call quality is superb, and it does connect to your Google Voice account.  The negative side of this app is that it does have a little lag to it, there are ads, and it might be hard to use at first.  My solution for that is to just play with the app for a while to understand it more.  I've actually called a lot of people on the app and even a store to ask for books.  I recommend this app to anyone that doesn't want to get an iPhone or just wants to make free calls on an iPod.  In the end, do you want to waste money on an iPhone + a two year contract, or just get an iPod touch and get this app?  This app is free, and you pay for the ad free version of it; however, the ads aren't a pain at all.  With that said, I'm Chris and that is what I have to say.

Fear... Facing and Fighting It

"In brightest day, in blackest night, No evil shall escape my sight.  Let those who worship evil's might, Beware my power... Green Lantern's LIGHT!"  -Green Lantern Oath

Hey readers, this is Chris, and let me tell you what I have to say.  We all have fear.  On one hand, this emotion makes us human.  On the other hand, fear can sometimes cripple us from doing something or even worse.  I recently re-watched the Green Lantern movie, because my mom never saw it, and I though it was a good movie.  As I watched the movie, I saw a general theme around it, which was fear.  WARNING:  there might be spoilers, so stop reading now if you haven't seen the movie yet.  In the beginning, Hal Jordan (being played by Ryan Reynolds) said that his job (pilot) requires him to not have fear.  As he gains the power of the Green Lantern, Sinestro states that he's fearless, that fear will cripple Hal in battle and get him killed.  As the movie continues, Hal admits to his fear; thus, making him stronger.  Parallax is the main villain, and his feeds off his enemies' fear.  That's all I am saying about this without spoiling the ending (there's a clip that'll do that for me).
